FREMONT, CA: Olympus's latest DC series dual element transducers offer inspectors a full corrosion monitoring toolbox for pipeline and tank integrity. The transducers function with NDT instruments and ultrasonic inspection techniques used in the oil & gas, energy, and mining industries and are optimized for corrosion and thin materials.
Any one or a combination of these five transducers, based on the application, boost corrosion monitoring and faulty sizing. Inspectors will appreciate having the complete collection of transducers with a total combined thickness range of 0 "2 in. (0 "50.8 mm) and the additional pipe weld inspection method with the DC3 model as field inspections change.

Cleaner Signals
Every model offers a cleaner signal than single element transducers and has less ring down than comparable models, making them ideal for fixing minor faults, inspecting near the surface, and distinguishing between two indications.
Compact
Low-profile designs and small tip diameters (DC1 and DC2 models), and integrated wedges (DC3), make it easy to inspect hard-to-reach areas like boiler tubes.
Versatile
The DC3 model adds pipe weld monitoring and other thin-wall material inspections to the series' corrosion monitoring and thickness measurement capabilities. The transducer conducts high-speed manual weld inspections similar to comparable models as it is fast and dependable.
Cost-Effective
The transducers are designed to last, with a thick-walled, wear-resistant housing (DC2 model) and replaceable wedges (DC4 and DC5). On the DC1 and DC2 versions, a heat-resistant disrupt line up to 150 °C (300 °F) that helps to minimize maintenance time for elevated-temperature pipe and tank inspections.
