Grant Sboros, CEOThis is where Euro Sun Mining comes in, redefining the standards for exploration and extraction of precious and base metal resources across the European continent. The development stage company leverages cutting-edge technologies and adheres to strict environmental guidelines to unlock the potential of Europe’s subterranean wealth.
The current gold-copper project called the ‘Rovina Valley Project’ is in central-western Romania, an area rich in mining history and holds great promise for Euro Sun Mining. Their concession is within the second-largest gold deposit in Europe which also holds importantly 640,000 tonnes of copper resources. To access these minerals, Euro Sun Mining’s extraction process uses a flotation methodology, without cyanide use and uses dry-stack tailings development, reiterating the eco-friendly aspect of the project. Production is set to begin by mid-2026, with concentrates sent to partner companies for refining.
The project will meet some of Romania’s crucial resource needs, particularly in copper and gold. The Rovina Valley Project will also deliver significant tax revenue and jobs and aims to rejuvenate this special mining region in Europe.
“It’s an exciting time for Europe and especially Romania. Our flagship project’s output can position Romania as a significant contributor to the global mineral supply chain,” states Grant Sboros, CEO of Euro Sun Mining.
The extraction will generate an anticipated yearly average output of 100,000 ounces of gold, complemented by 10,000 tonnes of copper in concentration. Following mining, the concentrate will undergo operational processing in partnership with commodity traders such as Glencore and Trafigura. These companies refine the concentrated resources and manage their commercial distribution.
The operation sequence of the project will commence with open-cast mining and transportation of extracted materials to primary crushers. Subsequent steps include passage through a flotation circuit and a thickening process for concentrate production. The entire flotation process takes place within a single plant. The focus is on process optimization, with emissions concerns addressed through reduced hole distances during excavation, promoting effective dissipation within the mining pit. The plant’s operational phase is inherently environmentally conscious, as the absence of harmful chemical discharge ensures ecologically sound practices.
A core team of Romanian professionals is overseeing the project. This aligns with the goal of creating job opportunities and fostering economic growth within Romania. Specialized technical design work also involves occasional regional consultant collaborations for added expertise. A Canadian staff aids in TSX-related communication and shareholder updates.

The project continues to garner significant backing from private shareholders, employees, community leaders and government in the build-up to production starting.
