The company’s genesis was in 1955, when its predecessor was commissioned to pave the walkways within a new stainless steel manufacturing plant, Shunan Steel Works of Nisshin Steel, in Shunan City, Japan. Recently, it was tasked with producing roll shaft bearing cases for a client with a continuous casting line. Considering stainless steel’s increased expansion and hardness, it predicted potential changes in shape and developed a case perfectly aligning with the specifications. Although stainless steel is approximately 1.4 times harder than mild steel, the company performed accurate long-hole processing (drilling in from both sides of the shaft before merging in the middle), ensuring all bearings could be effectively lubricated throughout the production cycle. Suetake also engaged in detailed discussions with the client and performed repeated prototyping before finalizing the design and process best suited to the conditions and complex casting specifications.

Ultimately, the company’s innovation and precision engineering enabled the seamless execution of complex tasks, ensuring the final product met stringent quality standards. The culmination of this endeavor showcased Suetake’s expertise in precision engineering for continuous casting equipment.
