Moving towards a more environmentally friendly industry is a responsibility Insertec has been working on for some time. Internally, the company has taken a number of measures, such as digitizing catalogues and installing solar panels. But it invests significant effort and time in researching projects related to the circular economy at European and international levels. The company is involved in projects such as waste heat recovery through the use of heat exchangers at Etekina, the use of green hydrogen in combustion systems at H2-Site and H-Acero, and the decarbonization of production equipment in collaboration with Iberdrola.
Insertec is convinced that the recovery and reuse of post-consumer scrap are key to achieving sustainability objectives. They are developing solutions and equipment capable of utilizing the full potential of this waste at all stages of the production process.
There is no way to deny that the use of post-consumer scrap will grow exponentially in the coming years. Insertec’s robust scrap de-lacquering and melting technology is ready to accompany the aluminium industry as this trend moves forward.
