Subscriber input plays an important role in the process, highlighting companies that professionals across the industry would recommend to their peers, choose for their own organizations or regard as best-in-class within their domain.
Nominees are scored on a scale of 1–100 across the following four criteria:
Industry Relevance and Operational Fit (30%)
Assessment focuses on alignment with mining and metals operations, including extraction processes, processing workflows, safety standards and site-specific operational challenges.
Execution in Complex and Regulated Environments (25%)
The editorial board examines the ability to deliver consistently across remote sites, hazardous conditions and regulatory frameworks governing safety, environmental impact and operational compliance.
Operational Efficiency and Cost Impact (25%)
Scoring considers measurable improvements in production output, cost control, asset utilization, downtime reduction and overall operational performance across mining and metals operations.
Market Confidence and Industry Endorsement (20%)
Strong candidates demonstrate sustained trust through industry relationships, repeat engagements, referrals and recognition among mining and metals leaders as dependable partners.
• Stage 1: Multi-Source Nomination: Candidates are identified through subscriber recommendations, industry engagements and independent research conducted by the Metals & Mining Review editorial team.
• Stage 2: Editorial & Technical Review: Shortlisted organizations are assessed using publicly available information, industry context and, where applicable, additional non-proprietary inputs shared voluntarily.
• Stage 3: Final Adjudication: Final selections are made by the Editorial Advisory Board, comprising industry peers and analysts, following a comprehensive review of each organization’s capabilities, market relevance and overall impact.
