Implementing a circular economy in the mining industry ensures efficient use of resources, minimizes waste production, benefits post-closure land use, and improves the chances of relinquishment of the mined region. Applying these new concepts to an industry requires good communication skills combined with the ability to collaborate and share concepts with peers and stakeholders. These abilities help generate solutions that go with the interests of all the stakeholders involved in the project. To support this, we have also included an agile strategy in our peer-to-peer project management system that allows us to gather frequent feedback to better assess our process and make necessary modifications. This strategy is proven to reduce the demand for critical metals and keep the required materials at their highest value as it promotes recycling and reuse of the essentials.How is technology influencing the mining space in the current landscape?Technological advancement has empowered the industry with better internet connection and interconnectivity. Always stay curious and pay close attention to the details while gathering insights from the stakeholders for a better assessment of the positives and negatives of the projects. Good communication and presentation skills are necessary to convince and persuade the stakeholders to invest in the projects you introduce. Gather a talented team and seize potential opportunities to move your concepts forward. More environment-friendly tools and applications need to be implemented to attain carbon neutrality.
